1. Introduction

OrbSquad ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use the OrbSquad desktop, web, or mobile application (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our real-time text, voice, and screen sharing communication services:

  • Account Information: Username, email address, hashed password, display name, and avatar/profile picture.
  • Communications & Content: Text messages, channel posts, pinned messages, and server/channel configurations created within the app.
  • Real-Time Audio, Video & Screen Sharing: Audio, video, and screen capture streams transmitted through our LiveKit WebRTC media servers. We process voice, video, and screen share data strictly in real-time to facilitate your active calls; voice, video, and screen share streams are NOT recorded or stored on our servers.
  • Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device operating system, app version, session tokens (JWT), and system logs necessary for authentication, security, and debugging.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate users and manage account sessions securely.
  • To route real-time voice, video, screen share, and text messages between call participants and channel members.
  • To enforce server roles, channel permissions, and moderation rules.
  • To ensure Service stability, security, and protection against unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties or advertisers. Data is shared only with infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Service:

  • Media Servers (LiveKit SFU): Used strictly for routing live WebRTC audio, video, and screen share streams.
  • Database & Application Hosting: Securely hosted servers for account and text message persistence.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or a valid government request.

5. Local Storage & Cookies

OrbSquad does not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. We use essential Local Storage / Electron Store strictly for functional purposes:

  • Storing your active authentication session token (JWT).
  • Saving your audio preferences (e.g., mute status, Push-to-Talk keybinds, output volume).

6. Technical & Organizational Security

OrbSquad implements robust security controls to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or data loss including TLS/HTTPS network encryption and cryptographic password hashing.

6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu ("KVKK") Madde 10 uyarınca, OrbSquad uygulaması olarak kişisel verilerinizin işlenme amaçları, toplanma yöntemleri, hukuki nedenleri, aktarım koşulları ve haklarınız hakkında sizleri bilgilendirmek amacıyla bu Aydınlatma Metni hazırlanmıştır.

1. İşlenen Kişisel Verileriniz

  • Kimlik ve İletişim Verileri: Kullanıcı adı, e-posta adresi, parola (şifrelenmiş/hashlenmiş olarak), profil resmi (avatar).
  • Mesajlaşma ve İçerik Verileri: Sunucu ve kanallarda gönderdiğiniz yazılı mesajlar, sabitlenmiş mesajlar, sunucu ve rol tanımları.
  • Canlı Ses, Görüntü ve Ekran Paylaşımı Verileri: Canlı sesli sohbet ve ekran paylaşımı kanallarında iletilen anlık ses, görüntü ve ekran yayın verileri. Sesli, görüntülü ve ekran paylaşımı sohbetleriniz yalnızca anlık iletim (WebRTC) amacıyla işlenir; sunucularımızda KESİNLİKLE SES, GÖRÜNTÜ VEYA EKRAN KAYDI TUTULMAMAKTADIR.
  • İşlem Güvenliği ve Teknik Veriler: IP adresi, cihaz türü, işletim sistemi bilgisi, oturum jetonları (JWT) ve güvenlik günlükleri.

2. Kişisel Verilerin Toplanma Yöntemi ve Hukuki Sebepleri

Kişisel verileriniz, OrbSquad masaüstü, web veya mobil uygulaması üzerinden tamamen otomatik yollarla toplanmaktadır ve aşağıdaki KVKK Madde 5/2 hukuki sebeplerine dayanmaktadır:

  • Madde 5/2 (c): Sözleşmenin kurulması ve ifasıyla doğrudan ilgili olması (Hesap açma, oturum yönetimi ve sohbet hizmeti).
  • Madde 5/2 (ç): Veri sorumlusunun hukuki yükümlülüklerini yerine getirebilmesi (İşlem güvenliği logları).
  • Madde 5/2 (f): Veri sorumlusunun meşru menfaatleri (Sistem güvenliği, hata giderme ve performans iyileştirme).

3. Çerezler ve Yerel Depolama (Local Storage)

OrbSquad üçüncü taraf reklam veya takip çerezleri kullanmamaktadır. Uygulama içerisinde yalnızca hizmetin çalışabilmesi için teknik olarak zorunlu yerel depolama öğeleri kullanılır.

4. KVKK Kapsamındaki Haklarınız (Madde 11)

KVKK Madde 11 uyarınca kişisel verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, düzeltilmesini isteme ve silinmesini talep etme hakkınız mevcuttur.
